This year, Novatech takes place at the INSA LYON (Villeurbanne).
Beware, for those who came at the last edition, it is not the same venue as 2013!!

INSA Lyon - Conference venue

This 9th edition of the conference will take place at the INSA Lyon, on the LyonTech la Doua EcoCampus in Villeurbanne - France, from June 28 to July 1, 2016.
Address: INSA Lyon, Campus LyonTech La Doua, Allée Lumière, 69100 Villeurbanne, France.
The thematic sessions and interactive sessions take place in the building "Pierre de Fermat"; the plenary conferences are held in the Amphitheatre Capelle; the reception desk, poster sessions and lunches are located in the middle of this space.

How to come to the INSA Lyon
The INSA Lyon is easily accessible by public transport.

The conference site is situated opposite to the stop "Croix Luizet" of the Tramway T1.
- Go to Charpennes (Metro line "A") or Part Dieu (gate Vivier Merle - shopping center side) station;
- Take the tramway T1 towards IUT Feyssine; stop at “Croix Luizet”.

The Vélo’V (self-service bicycles) docking station «IUT/Feyssine» is at 200 m.
The car park “P9”, rue des Sciences, is located nearby.

* Métro A, stop at "Gratte-Ciel". Walk on the "cours Emile Zola" street up to n°166, take first left on Avenue Henry Barbusse (5 min walk).
* C26, bus 27 ou 69, stop at "Mairie de Villeurbanne". The INSA Lyon is direct to the Hôtel de Ville with bus C26 (stop "INSA Einstein").

To access the venue from the conference site: Tramway T1 to the “Tonkin” stop, followed by a 5-min walk.
After the plenary conference, we offer you the possibility to go to the gala dinner in small groups, while visiting the Ecocampus and the decentralised stormwater management devices: 1.5 km (~0.9 miles) on foot then Tramway T1 from the "Gaston Berger" stop; or 2.5 km (~1.5 miles) to walk to the venue.

At the end of the evening:
– Tramway “T1”, Tonkin stop – departure every 15 minutes, last tram train at 0.36 am (last metro train in Charpennes at midnight)
– Bus “C26”, Parc Tête d’or-Stalingrad bus-stop, for Villeurbanne – departure every 20 minutes, last bus at 10.40 pm
– Bus line "C2", Parc Tête d'Or-Stalingrad bus-stop, for the "Gare Part Dieu" – departure every 30 min, last bus at 0:00.

Stormwater management plays a key role in the project.

A map (in French only - an English map will be available soon) will enable you to visit these devices and operations (you can also download the guide - French only).
An itinerary via the green axis will give you an overview while walking to the gala dinner on Wednesday evening, or to the Tête d'Or park!

Organisation of free meetings

Meeting rooms are at the disposal of delegates for working groups during the whole conference. Two preferred time slots: Tuesday 28 June from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm, and Thursday 30 June from 4.30 pm to 6.00 pm. To book a time slot, please sign up via the booking form posted on the door of the room.

Lyon is a pleasant city, very well served by public transport.

By plane
Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport, located 25km away from the city centre of Lyon, provides connections to hundreds of cities, half of which are international. To reach the city centre of Lyon from the airport:

By train
Please be aware that there are two SNCF railway stations in Lyon: Part-Dieu Station and Perrache Station in the city centre, to choose according to your hotel location. A third TGV (high speed train) station is at the Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport.

By car
There are many free parking spots at the INSA Lyon.
>> Follow Paris or Lyon Centre direction to reach the North beltway 'Périphérique Nord'; follow 'Villeurbanne' and leave at Porte de Croix Luizet (exit #6); follow 'Domaine Scientifique de la Doua', then INSA (car park 'P9', rue des sciences).

Public Transports of Lyon
2 types of tickets are available at the reception desk. A special “Ticket Pass Congress”, valid for one day, at 2.50 €. A traditional ticket, valid for one hour (no return-trip), at 1.50 €.

VELO'V: self-service bicycles
You can rent bikes through the service of "VéloV" -
You will easily find “Velo’v” docking stations in the city centre of Lyon. You can buy an access card valid for a short time for 1.50€ (valid 1 day) or 5€ (valid 7 days). The first half hour is free. You can easily use these bikes around the Part-Dieu area and the INSA Lyon.

End of June is summer and it can be very hot in Lyon! Average minimal and maximum temperatures are respectively 15°C and 25°C.
